This is a huge limitation in terms of what modders can do with existing hair meshes. The Frostbite thing is not something I’ve heard before, but here are my understandings of the current limitations of DAI hair modding:īone weighting cannot currently be altered in the mesh exportation/importation process, so all modded meshes must have the same number of vertexes in the same order as the original in order to preserve the skin. Hang on, wait, is THAT the problem? I’d wondered what kept blocking that, but the Qunari have the cornrow options (that used to be for ALL THE PCS IN THE PREVIOUS GAMES, THANKS BIOWARE), don’t they? DAI modding scares me but I’d be surprised if you couldn’t take the vanilla mesh for that, slide the braids in, smooth them a bit and a non-braided texture.
